The Urban Planning & Development Authority (UPDA) has been tasked with developing a comprehensive scheme to ensure the achievement of the highest rate of urban development. The goals of the Authority include the preparation of an urban plan with the aim of completing the infrastructure and development of general utilities in Qatar through the establishment of a long term vision, and to promote large scale urban development projects in the country.
