Qatar has been recycling water since 1971 to protect the environment, conserve its resources, and augment its water supply. Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) is currently used for landscaping and to grow animal fodder. As treated water is a secondary resource, it will not be sufficient to meet the water demands to grow all fodder requirements. Other than fodder, the QNFSP does not intend to use TSE for its agricultural needs.
